New Year and New Reads!

I've been meeting people who really do not believe in New Year or the resolutions and in a way they might be right. It's just another day in life.
What are your opinions? What does New Year mean to you?
For me, it never is a "new year, new me" type of a thing. For me, it's about spotting all the things I did for the past 12 months and categorising them into achievements, successes, rights, wrongs, etc. The last few days of a year are for reflecting and picking out the things that went wrong and then trying to rectify my mistakes.
New Year doesn't mean a landmark for me but it's a time where I plan out things, chalk out my goals and realise what I want and need from all the opportunities that are going to be right in front of me for the next 12 months.
Yes, I'm late to post about the New Year and I find that to be completely normal. You should be the one who decides when your New Year starts, when you begin to take actions towards your goals, when you start reflecting and working on yourself.
Whatever it may be, I am always reminded of this quote by Neil Gaiman.

New Year brings with it the excitement of making reading lists (popularly knows as TBR) and I'm among such people who pen down all the books they wish to read in the next 12 months to come.
I love the satisfaction of looking back at the year and going through all the books I read, all the characters I loved, all the plots I was a part of. At the end of the year, I do mini reviews for all the books, I read throughout the year and proceed to make a reading list for the coming year. It's a tradition for me.
Although my reading list is perpetual and I always keep making changes to it throughout the year, it really shows to me the kind of books and the genres I'm loving currently, the authors I like.
Here is my (not so complete) reading list of 2022. I might add more books to it as I move along but I do hope that you'd find some of these interesting.
